Diane Bustamante is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. She focuses her practice on worker’s compensation litigation and insurance coverage disputes.
Ms. Bustamante graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting (2010). She received her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law (2016), where she earned Dean’s List honors, book awards in Complex Litigation and Legal Skills and Values II (legal writing), and was a Pro-Bono Award recipient for completing over 130 hours of charitable legal work. While in law school, Ms. Bustamante served as a Staff Editor on the Florida International University Law Review. Ms. Bustamante was also a member of the FIU Board of Advocates Negotiation team, and served on the executive boards of The Cuban American Bar Association, The Hispanic Law Students Association, and The Women’s Law Society.
While in law school, Ms. Bustamante clerked for a well-known firm with several locations across the state of Florida, where she gained general experience in insurance defense and medical malpractice, among other fields. She also served as a Legal Intern for the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and as a Judicial Intern for a Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
