Alexa Sanchez joined the firm as a paralegal in 1999. She graduated from Loyola High School in 1985 and attended Florida International University focusing her studies in Criminal Justice from 1985 through 1987. In 1990, Ms. Sanchez was an adjuster with Alexsis Risk Management, a third party administrator and a subsidiary of Alexander & Alexander. She handled workers’ compensation claims involving lost time and medical. Ms. Sanchez was entrusted to be the on-site adjuster assigned to administer the workers’ compensation claims on behalf of the Dade County School Board.
Ms. Sanchez continued to advance in the area of workers’ compensation and began working as a Legal Claims Adjuster for Miami-Dade County in 1993. This job involved the handling of voluminous, complex litigated workers’ compensation cases which required extensive investigation and active adjusting and monitoring of files. Ms. Sanchez was also responsible for attending depositions, hearings, and mediations which involved meeting and negotiating with attorneys. In sum, Ms. Sanchez has over eighteen (18) years of Workers’ Compensation adjusting experience. This experience has proven to be invaluable and essential to her position as a paralegal at our firm.
